This licensee search accesses the Board's current licensee population, consisting of dentists, specialists, general anesthesia permit holders, parenteral conscious sedation permit holders, enteral conscious sedation permit holders, dental hygienists, and radiology permit holders. This search capability is useful for dentists, dental hygienists, and radiology permit holders seeking dental employment, consumers who need to access dentists either in a particular locale or by specialty and/or ability to administer anesthesia, and dentists seeking to hire currently licensed dental hygienists and radiology permit holders. Furthermore, as of September 1, 2005, the Board began renewing all licenses and permits on a biennial basis, and with the 2006-2008 biennial renewal cycle, licensees were able to renew their licenses and permits on-line. Biennial renewal occurs September 1 through October 31 of each year, with dentists renewing on a biennial basis one year and dental hygienists and radiology permit holders renewing on a biennial basis the subsequent year. All Mississippi licenses and permits expire as of October 31 of each biennial period, and expiration dates are provided for each licensee. Everyone is encouraged to utilize all search capabilities of the Board's databases. | |
